I have read that many Greyhounds are dumped, where some may find loving homes if found by caring people. Some of these dogs have their ears cut off in order to destroy the identification tattoo, some are killed by shooting or by other cruel methods which must be an agonizing death. It is indeed a crime that Her Majesty's government has turned a blind eye to the Greyhound travesty. As president of the Canadian Voice for Animals Foundation, with branches in the United States of America, Argentina, Germany, Norway, Peru and Africa, I would be remiss if I did not urge all of my many supporters to write Her Majesty's Prime Minister venting their concerns about this reprehensible, so called, sport of Greyhound Racing. It is time Mr. Prime Minister to start co-operating with local animal welfare organizations in the UK. I am sure that you and your staff are quite aware of many such organizations, if not, I would be more than happy to recommend several that would be more than willing to meet with you.
